To achieve this, we have established this safeguarding policy to outline our commitment to the safety and protection of all individuals we serve and to prevent any form of harm, abuse, or neglect.

This safeguarding policy applies to all employees, volunteers, contractors, and anyone associated with Hopefull Handbags Global, including survivors and their families.

Hopefull Handbags Global is guided by the following principles in all our activities:

1. Dignity and Respect: We treat all individuals with dignity and respect, valuing their autonomy and choices.
2. Non-Discrimination: We do not discriminate on the basis of race, gender, religion, sexual orientation, disability, or any other protected characteristic.
3. Confidentiality: We ensure the confidentiality of survivors’ personal information and stories, except when required by law or consented to by the survivor.
4. Safety and Well-being: We prioritize the safety, well-being, and physical and emotional health of survivors and their children.

Preventing Abuse and Harm

Hopefull Handbags Global is committed to preventing any form of abuse, harm, or neglect. We have put in place the following measures:

1. Screening: All employees and volunteers undergo thorough background checks to ensure they are suitable for working with survivors.
2. Training: Our staff and volunteers receive training on recognizing signs of abuse and how to respond appropriately.

Safeguarding Officer

This safeguarding policy will be reviewed annually to ensure its effectiveness and relevance. Any necessary updates or improvements will be made based on the findings of the review.
